THE RIGHT WING NOT SO BAD

 I am going to freak out the left. We have become so accustomed to swimming in a left-right dichotomy that we have allowed any meaningful political action to fall behind. I have been hearing that racism is bad for 30 years and very little has changed. Racism is still alive and well, police brutality is the order of the day, the corporations continue to steal from the people. Something has to change- In fact, everything has to change.

Yes, the left can get its act together and become more militant. But that is another story. What about the right? What about Liz Cheney? What but those Republicans who believe in equality and justice and democracy (there are a few) but are non plussed because all they see of the left is police getting shot, cars burning, and riots. They are not willing to stick their necks out for that.

Here is what someone on the left has to say;

The goal is to be understood by the population- the media pretend that anarchists are spoiled, middle class kids who just like to create chaos. What anarchists really do is practice autonomy, horizontal democracy, egalitarianism and  mutual aid.

Some of those on the right need to join the  revolutionary movement. They are not happy, either, although it is doubtful that they are able to fight openly. Nevertheless, they can support the movement if they understand it- and for that, Hollywood movies, newspapers, digital media all have to be ignored. They are simply out of the loop as far as what is really happening. We must never forget who controls the media- and its not us. The left is given a bad rap because the right controls information. But that does not let the left off the hook. Too many lefties buy into the hype themselves, and settle for reforms and go back to the familiar ground of railing against racism.

Racism is caused by capitalism
Police brutality is caused by capitalism
Corporations rip the population off because of capitalism.

It is high time we move way from the superstructure and get int the nitty gritty--the economy. We must build a revolutionary party with millions of members- not all of whom are militant- and bring them into the movement through dialectics, strategy and tactics, and transform the economy from an elitist pouring of wealth into a few pockets to a general benefit for all- education, health care, housing, jobs from which you cannot get  fired, and very low prices. Even our right wing comrades would go for that.
